Upgrade your Texas Instruments DM6446 & DM642-based products with support for full Standard Definition (SD) H.264 Interlaced Encoding! Existing H.264 Baseline Profile (BP) encoding products on the DM6446 or DM642 either deinterlace input NTSC/PAL video or encode interlaced video with progressive coding tools; both approaches result in unnecessary video distortion and/or compression artifacts.
Sasken Inc now provides you the opportunity to improve the quality, reduce the bandwidth and extend the lifecycle of existing products based on TI’s DM6446 or DM642 DSP’s with the addition of true H.264 interlaced encoding support. Sasken Inc’s H.264 Main Profile (MP) Encoder is ideal for products that record or stream NTSC or PAL video, which is especially important for surveillance, video conferencing and military applications.
Sasken Inc offers a production-ready H.264 MP Encoder that fully supports the Interlaced Coding Tool for up to D1/30fps interlaced video at 3Mbps on the DM6446 or DM642@720MHz. Sasken Inc’s H.264 MP Encoder also supports Picture-Adaptive Frame-Field (PAFF) coding, which allows for the optimal encoding of both progressive and interlaced video.
