Corporate Profile

Sasken Inc (who acquired the certain assets of Ingenient Technologies, Inc.), part of Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd is a leading provider of embedded multimedia software solutions that enable the creation, delivery, management and presentation of rich multimedia content. Utilizing these software solutions, our customers can quickly create leading-edge multimedia products for the consumer electronics, enterprise, security & surveillance and infrastructure markets.

Brief History

Ingenient Technologies Inc was founded in July 2000 as a multimedia software solutions company specializing in the design and optimization of video encoders and decoders for Texas Instruments’ Digital Signal Processors. From the beginning, Ingenient’s technology has been at the heart of the most innovative multimedia products of their day, from the first Portable Media Players on the market to advanced medical imaging, broadcast infrastructure and security & surveillance solutions. With the 2004 acquisition of Imagine Technology, the Company added a dedicated audio engineering team and a strong portfolio of audio algorithms, supporting multiple processor platforms, to complement the expanding portfolio of video solutions. In 2006, the Company opened a field sales office in Tokyo, Japan and later in the year acquired True Technology in Seoul, South Korea, providing both field sales and a local engineering team in Korea.

On October 28, 2009, Ingenient completed its business transfer (certain assets, proprietary software, hardware, software licensing rights and customer contracts) to Sasken Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sasken Communication Technologies Ltd.

Sasken Inc now offers hardware reference designs, custom hardware design services, Linux and WinCE board support packages and custom embedded application development to complement a full suite of multimedia codecs, all aimed at getting customers seeking to bring leading edge multimedia solutions to market ahead of their competition. Sasken Inc’s technology continues to power a wide variety of the most demanding multimedia products and solutions in the market today.

Sasken Inc is headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, with offices in Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea.
